The Start: Making Products that Actually Work

Our story began in 2011 with a simple goal: finding health solutions that actually work.

Our founders, Kriss Berg and Chaz Shively, were tired of how the conventional medical system handled long-term health issues. We know that traditional Western medicine is often great for acute health issues like broken bones or open-heart surgery, but it often struggles to fix chronic health problems and diseases.

And, we were both skeptical of “Big Pharma” and always pursued finding natural solutions and remedies for our own health problems. Our focus was on natural and alternative remedies and health solutions. Many natural remedies have been used by ancient civilizations for centuries; others are newly discovered. Kriss and Chaz both continually read health journals and articles and research natural solutions mostly coming from plants and animals that are here on Earth to help us.

For example:

• Chaz was told he needed immediate surgery to remove gallstones. Instead of going through with the operation, he researched and dissolved/flushed the gallstones naturally. Over 20 years later, he is still healthy and surgery-free.
• Kriss struggled with chronic pain and relied on prescription drugs. Realizing the risk of addiction, he found natural alternatives that solved his pain and changed his life.

With countless more examples of finding natural solutions, these experiences – and shared values – pushed us to create a company together.  

Our first health brand, the Healthy Living Association, focused on making science-backed supplements that people see and feel the results with, immediately. We’ve rolled out many products that our customers love – and continue to rely on to this day.

Our Growth and Dedication

Our commitment to results helped us grow fast. We launched several products that really helped our customers. Over those first few years, we also built an amazing team of “A+ players.” Most of our team members have been with us for over ten years and our small, dedicated group feels like a family.

In 2018, we expanded further by launching Prosper Wellness to bring high-quality, natural CBD products to people who were suffering from issues such as bone-on-bone pain, neuropathy, sleep issues, inflammation, and anxiety. We love CBD as it doesn’t include the “high” associated with cannabis, and helps people with so many issues. This brand – with products like Joint Restore and TurmeriCBD – has also helped thousands of people find relief.

The Pivot: Embracing Integrated Medicine

For years, we primarily focused on the “natural” path. But in 2022, our belief system was challenged…

We began seeing incredible health changes in our friends: people were finally losing weight they couldn’t lose before. One close friend lost over a hundred pounds, gaining confidence and totally changing her life… all due to peptides (GLP1s).

A light bulb went on. We realized that if a treatment works this powerfully—and works safely—it could deserve a place alongside the natural remedies we champion. This successful Western medicine solution was too important to ignore.

This discovery opened us up to a new possibility: What if we could combine the best of both worlds?

Expansion into Peptides: Coming from Nature

As we started researching, we learned that the science behind medicines like tirzepatide and semaglutide was actually inspired by nature. In the 1980s and 1990s, researchers discovered that a compound found in the saliva of the Gila monster lizard helped control blood sugar. 

This research eventually led to the discovery of GLP-1 peptides to help people with diabetes! 

Then, doctors started seeing their diabetic patients also lose a lot of weight and GLP-1s were then approved to treat weight loss by the FDA. 

Looking to the future, peptides are being researched and tested for all sorts of new health remedies. This confirmed our belief that the most powerful medical answers come from the natural world, backed by serious science.

Launching the Healthy Living Clinic

With a newly discovered openness and optimism for Western medicine – that is effective and non-addictive – and with the guidance of Dr. Greg and Dr. Mink, we launched Healthy Living Clinic in 2024 to offer GLP-1/peptide treatments for our customers. 

Our core idea became: We bring together natural, alternative treatments with the best parts of modern medical science…and continue to offer products that work.
